It’s been a rough couple of weeks … by my standards anyway.

Last week I got busy and “didn’t feel inspired” (there’s a lot of WRONG in that statement) so I didn’t write a blog. I wrote one this week and it was just ………… not right. It had Greg all over it and not a lot of God.

I’ve taken on the feeling of responsibility for things that aren’t mine to take. I did a couple really major dumb, hurtful things and paid the consequences for them. Here it is Friday, no blog and my disposition matched the morning fog & drizzle that can often inhabit the beautiful Oregon Coast. I was feeling the weight.

One good thing scheduled for the day was a face-to-face session with one of the guys I work with locally. I got out of the office. Took a drive down the coast. Meeting with him brightened my day a little bit. But still, I was feeling out of sorts.

These last couple of weeks God has been showing me what I thought were unrelated glimpses of Himself. But with Him nothing is ever wasted. One glimpse in particular is how we draw our Father and Holy Spirit into our mess by declaring the Truths He has given us. Then He reminded me that we fight our Spiritual battles in Worship. In this case, out loud, at the top of my lungs.

I was driving home from my meeting still not feeling free and He gave me this song. There I sat, in Friday Oregon Coast tourist traffic, singing at the top of my lungs, ignoring anything I ever learned about vocal production, tears cascading down my cheeks, DECLARING the Truths of His Love.

Turn up the volume. Maximum is a good start. Click one of the links above and worship. Declare these truths as you give your Father whatever it is that’s weighing you down. Nothing’s bugging you? Then give Him the thanks and praise He deserves for that, too.

I pray you are encouraged. I pray you walk away lighter and free of today’s burdens. He is good.

Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst?
It is!
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this?
It is!

Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave. He is David’s root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave.
Is He worthy? Is He worthy? Of all blessing and honor and glory? Is He worthy of this?
He is!

Does the Father truly love us?
He does!
Does the Spirit move among us?
He does!
And does Jesus, our Messiah, hold forever those He loves?
He does!
Does our God intend to dwell again with us?
He does!

Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?

to reign with the Son.
